Watch live as lava fountains erupt from Halemaʻumaʻu Crater at the summit of Kīlauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes.

After precursory activity began on July 14, 2026, including lava overflowing from the north vent, Episode 51 has now progressed into full lava fountaining. In response to the escalating activity, the U.S. Geological Survey's Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO) raised Kīlauea's Volcano Alert Level to WATCH and the Aviation Color Code to ORANGE.

???? Watch live for:
Towering lava fountains
Rivers of lava filling Halemaʻumaʻu crater
Powerful lava jets from the north and south vents
Lava overflows across the crater floor
Volcanic gas, Pele's hair, and tephra (depending on wind conditions)

Kīlauea's current summit eruption began in December 2024 and has produced a remarkable series of episodic lava-fountaining events. Episode 51 continues this extraordinary eruption sequence, offering one of the best opportunities anywhere in the world to witness large-scale lava fountains live.
